Do I need haul-out for underwater lights?

Through-hull (bronze or plastic housing mounted through the hull) underwater lights require haul-out. Surface-mount (SeaBlaze X2, some Shadow-Caster models) can be installed in the water without haul-out. We help you choose based on your use.

How many underwater lights do I need?

Two on the transom is the sweet spot for most boats under 30 feet. Larger boats benefit from 4-6 lights around the hull. Color-changing systems usually run 4+ lights for uniform color blending.

What color underwater light attracts the most baitfish?

Green. Blue works well too. White is brighter but less effective at drawing bait. Most serious night fishermen in Miami run green.

Can I add LED strips without damaging the boat?

Yes. Most accent LED strips mount with adhesive or small stainless screws into existing structure. We prep surfaces properly and avoid drilling into load-bearing areas.
