How often do boat trailer bearings need service?

Annually at minimum for Miami trailers that dunk in salt water. Every 2-3 years at bare minimum for trailers that only see freshwater. Neglected bearings lock up on the highway and take the hub with them.

Should I switch to LED trailer lights?

Yes. LEDs are waterproof, draw less current, last 10x longer, and do not cook themselves when dunked hot into cool water. Most of our customers convert on their first service visit and never have trailer light problems again.

Can you do trailer work at my house?

Yes for most bearing, brake, light, and tire work. For axle replacement, frame welding, or full restoration we need the trailer at the shop where we have proper lifts and welders.

How long does a bearing repack take?

About 60-90 minutes for a single-axle trailer, 2-3 hours for a tandem. Full bearing replacement (new bearings, races, seals) is about 2 hours per axle.

Axle & Frame Work

Bent axles, cracked welds, and rusted-through frame rails are not uncommon on older Miami trailers. Shop jobs include:
